Super Skrull, also known as Kl'rt, was a Skrull of exceptional power who infiltrated Earth more times than Bruce Banner tore his own trousers. He was an elite agent with various abilities, which included the combined powers of The Fantastic Four. He also had countless battles with members of the Avengers and several other Marvel heroes.

But after a succession of defeats, and during an overall stalemate in the Kree-Skrull war, Super Skrull eventually aligned himself with the Mad Titan, Thanos.

This was in a bid to track down an item of untold power known as the Cosmic Cube, though the job proved too difficult to achieve without Thanos' direct intervention. Eventually, Thanos left Kl'rt the Super Skrull in charge of military operations on his home world of Titan, which Super Skrull also eventually botched. Like in the MCU franchise, Thanos just couldn't get the staff.

It's also worth noting that several Skrulls were among the Children of Thanos, a rag-tag of outcasts and crooks from various alien races who were devout worshipers of Thanos following the Mad Titan's death in the comics.
