But Ronan The Accuser died! We hear you all cry, but remember this set in the nineties - and Guardians of the Galaxy took place around 2014. Glad we could clear that up. But, immediately, that's a great way of bringing a shock reveal to the trailer, whether it's at the end as a twist for eagle-eyed fans, or straight away to put it out there that Ronan is back.

Cast your minds back to Guardians of the Galaxy, Ronan The Accuser was a terrorist who brutally murdered people in his goals to find the Power Stone for Thanos, so he could destroy the planet, Xandar. But in the preview for Captain Marvel, Ronan is shown looking less like a murderous terrorist and more like an officer of the Kree's Starforce.

So what changes from the nineties to his appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy? Hopefully, Marvel will show us how Ronan became so corrupted and evil in Captain Marvel. But the villain was also separate from the rest of his race, the Kree. It would be truly interesting to see a hint of why that is during the trailer. Even just through a single line of dialogue or action.
