Captain Marvel Trailer: 5 Huge Plot Hints

Now this might seem a little obvious for comic fans, but for people who haven't read the decades old run, it might not be. The Kree and the Skrulls were locked into a vicious war, and that war spilled across many planets throughout the galaxy, including Earth. And it looks like during Captain Marvel, part of the story will see Carol Danvers and Nick Fury try to contain the fighting while keeping it secret from the civilian population.

In fact, it's probably the reason why Carol crash lands back on Earth in the first place. We saw the shot of a behemoth sized ship orbiting the planet. Was her smaller ship shot down by the airforce or was it part of the Kree-Skrull fighting?

And then there's obviously the appearance of the Skrulls midway through the trailer. They only appear for half a second, but it's the same shot from the Entertainment Weekly preview, where the Skrulls seem to be emerging from the ocean. It seems likely that Captain Marvel will have shot the Skrulls down and somehow in the fight crashed to Earth herself. And although there didn't seem to be any other Kree warriors on Earth in the trailer, but that doesn't mean they don't come looking for her.
