9. Mar-Vell

While the official website already accidentally spoiled the fact that Jude Law's mystery unnamed mentor character is called Mar-Vell, that site has now been taken down by Disney and replaced by this 90s delight so evidence of that gaff is all gone.

But the 90s site also secretly confirms that Law is indeed the original Captain Marvel from the comics thanks to a tiny GIF of the character that appears in the Guestbook header (along with a mini Coulson). If you click onto it to inspect the file name, they've named him Mar-Vell officially.

Mar-Vell was of course the original Kree character who gave Carol Danvers her powers to become Ms Marvel when his DNa was fused with hers during an explosion. Who else could he have been playing really?
