Sure, as one half of the Malloy Twins, Affleck gives good funny - but that's in Ocean's 11. For the two follow-up films, his Virgil - along with Scott Caan's Turk - are unfairly sidelined for much of their respective runtimes. In doing so, Steven Soderbergh seemingly lost a bit of Casey's spark. As his career slowly grew during the filming of each, there's almost a palpable distaste on-screen - like he can feel himself being lost in the scrum. It's like he just stopped trying with the Ocean's movies - but then, you could probably say that about everyone involved, considering the inexorable degradation of quality of each follow-up.
