Casey Affleck: 5 Awesome Performances & 5 That Sucked

2. Sean - Soul Survivors (2001)

Soul Survivors landed with a thud in 2001, feeling like it belonged in the previous decade in terms of its teens-trip-out-after-a-shared-accident aesthetic, its groan-inducing quote-unquote hip soundtrack and the amount of black leather contained therein. Heck, it even had a mind-numbingly dull, derivative twist ending. Casey, still at the onset of his career, no doubt was interested in the opportunity to further his career by taking a lead role for a change. It€™s just a shame that the abysmal material wasn€™t up to snuff. Affleck was a talent - with all his dour seriousness - even back then, but even he couldn€™t lift the terrible film above its self-ascribed station.
