Casting Ava DuVernay's New Gods

Walters often plays very motherly figures, so seeing her in such a subversion of that archetype would be a delight.

When I say subversion, I really mean it. The "Goodness" in the character's name is completely ironic, with her method of bringing up children basically being to torture them, as you may expect from one of Darkseid's most loyal and trusted generals.

So, putting Walters in this role would be a complete polarisation of the characters she usually plays, with it taking all the kind, maternal elements that audiences usually see her portray and taking a sledgehammer to them (or at least the 'kind' part).

This is probably the casting choice least likely to actually happen, but it certainly would be interesting to see if it did.
