Dubbed 'The Kid', Chinatown producer Robert Evans was the embodiment of new Hollywood. A slick and suave man, Evans was a virtual novice when he was brought in by Paramount to shake up their aging production roster.

The dynamic between this 'new Hollywood' producer and a film littered with some of the biggest stars at the time could be a fascinating one to explore in detail. In terms of young, slick and exceptionally talented actors working today, it would be tough for Affleck to find anyone more suitable to fill the role than Evan Peters.

Peters has been an absolute revelation over his relatively short career to date in every role he has tried his hand at. His scene-stealing turns in X-Men and his incredible performance in American Animals are particular highlights and he would no doubt do a tremendous job with this role as well.

Despite his appearances in the X-Men franchise, Evans has still gone under the radar somewhat and deserves an opportunity to flex his considerable talent. An engaging and charismatic actor, Evans would undoubtedly flourish in the role of a calm and collected film producer thrown into the deep end with some of Hollywood's biggest sharks.
