Casting The Fantastic Four In The MCU

5. Johnny Storm - Zac Efron

Johnny Storm has, in a very odd way, proven to be a breeding ground for MCU stars. Chris Evans took on the role in 2005 (and again in its 2007 sequel) before becoming one of Marvel's biggest stars as Captain America, while Michael B. Jordan portrayed the Human Torch in the 2015 version, before going on to become one of the MCU's strongest villains in Black Panther.

Despite that, though, the character himself hasn't been done full justice, and the MCU needs someone who can do the humour of the character and be a bit of a juvenile dick, and yet also show a much more serious side when required,

Efron has proven almost too many times just how strong his comedic chops are, and with his ridiculous good looks he'd be easily believable as someone who dates a number of women. He possesses the physicality for the Human Torch too, but more is that, despite the fact he doesn't take on the best roles, Efron has some real dramatic talent that needs to be tapped into.

His role as Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile should showcase that, and Efron could bring that here to his relationships with his family and bravery that sees him diving headfirst into battle.
