Chadwick Boseman: Every Movie Ranked Worst To Best
14. The Kill Hole (2012)
The Kill Hole offered Boseman the chance to star in his first leading role after years turning up in small TV guest spots. Unfortunately, The Kill Hole is also the most shoddily heavy-handed film he was ever involved in, lacking the necessary intelligence and innovation to make any of it worthwhile. I mean, it's got Billy Zane in it, so you know you're not looking at an all-timer.
That being said, Boseman himself is pretty good in the role of war veteran Samuel Drake, who is sent on a mission to eliminate fellow soldier and traitor Devon Carter (an also-brilliant Tory Kittles). It's a role of great confliction, allowing Boseman to work his magic as a man torn between his duty and his moral code.
The Kill Hole, as an action piece, is a film bursting with potential, and whilst the acting makes the plot and its lack of subtly somewhat bearable, Boseman isn't enough to save it from overall failure.
