Cold Pursuit Review: 7 Ups & 1 Down

2. The Terrific Supporting Cast

In addition to the fine work from Neeson and Bateman, Cold Pursuit is absolutely jam-packed with entertaining supporting performances both big and small.

The easy stand-outs include Emmy Rossum's plucky detective Kim, John Doman as her cynical partner Gip, William Forsythe as Nelson's brother Brock, Domenick Lombardozzi as Viking's enforcer Mustang, and Tom Jackson as rival drug lord White Bull.

There's not a weak link among the bunch, and even the smallest roles add a ton of character and texture to the end result, aided by Baldwin's deft screenplay of course.

Some might argue that there are a few characters too many overall, but the sprawling quality ultimately adds to a lot of the fun, especially when these mini-arcs start paying-off later on.
