Comic Con 2018: 10 Biggest Rumours
7. Man Of Steel 2 Gets Announced Too
Poor old Superman - he's not had a good time on the big-screen as of late, has he?
Whether it be Superman Returns, Man of Steel or even Justice League, none of the character's most recent cinematic efforts have managed to live up to the sense of wonderment and spectacle as those that starred Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder. With a potential DC rebrand in mind, however, that could yet change. Henry Cavill is competent enough in the role, and with the right direction, a Superman film shouldn't be so hard to make.
And, according to rumours, Warner Bros. think the same. According to El Fanboy podcast (via FlickeringMyth), WB want Henry Cavill to make an appearance at San Diego so that they can formally announce the follow-up to 2013's Man of Steel.
It's one of the more unlikely rumours, but with the Last Son of Krypton being such an essential component of the DCU, it's difficult to foresee the franchise moving ahead without him - especially when WB could be set to reap the benefits of a full-on rebrand.
