6. Sony End Up Surprising Everyone

Sony's Marvel movies are confusing... just about everyone, at this current moment in time. One week Tom Hardy's Venom movie is connected to the MCU (potentially with a cameo from Tom Holland), the next it isn't. The two other projects currently being lined up by the studio that haven't been all that talked about are Silver and Black (potentially now cancelled), and Silk - a Spidey spin-off centred around Cindy Moon.

It's already been confirmed that the studio will be bringing both Venom and the stunning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to their Hall H panel, but the status of those two aforementioned features is still up in the air. According to Deadline, Tom Holland may even make a surprise appearance on the Venom panel, adding further fuel to the speculative fire that the film will boast a serious connection to the MCU - regardless of its 'R' rating.

These are all still just rumours at this stage, but it's fair to say that an appearance from Holland would serve Sony well. Providing further looks at Venom, Spider-Verse and an update on Silver & Black and Silk would go a long way in convincing fans that the studio deserves a seat at the comic book movie table, so keep an eye on them during the con's duration.
