8. Venom's Main Villain Will Be Riot

Venom director Ruben Fleischer and star Tom Hardy descended upon Hall H to reveal some new footage from the movie, before revealing that the film's primary antagonist will be the symbiote Riot.

What differentiates Riot from Venom is its ability to switch hosts at the drop of a hat, ensuring you can never be sure where he is. Tom Hardy also confirmed that Riot will be primarily concerned with Riz Ahmed's villain Carlton Drake, controlling him for large portions of the movie.

Though the movie's Comic-Con showing still hasn't much convinced that Venom's going to turn out particularly great, it is at least an interesting surprise all the same, and seemingly confirms that Ahmed definitely isn't playing Carnage.
