Comic-Con 2019: 10 Biggest Reveals You Need To See
2. MCU Phase 4 Slate Revealed, Blade, X-Men & Fantastic Four Movies Confirmed
By far the most anticipated panel of this year's Comic-Con was that of Marvel Studios, and holy hell, did they deliver or what?
Kevin Feige confirmed that the slate for MCU Phase 4 - or whatever it'll actually end up being called - is as follows:
Black Widow (May 1, 2020), The Falcon & Winter Soldier TV series (Fall 2020), Eternals (November 6, 2020), Shang-Chi & The Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12, 2021), WandaVision TV series (Spring 2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 7, 2021), Loki TV series (Spring 2021), What If...? TV series (Summer 2021), Hawkeye TV series (Fall 2021) and Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5, 2021).
Though details were scarce on the films and TV shows themselves, there were some neat tidbits worth noting: Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) will co-star in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Zemo (Daniel Brühl) will return in The Falcon & Winter Soldier, Shang-Chi will introduce the real Mandarin as played by the brilliant Tony Leung, and in a downright bizarre announcement, the fourth Thor film will reinvent Jane Foster as a female Thor.
And that wasn't all, either - Kevin Feige casually confirmed that Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Fantastic Four and an X-Men movie are all on the way.
And in an announcement that brought the house down, Blade is finally coming to the MCU, and in a spot of note-perfect casting, he'll be played by none other than two-time Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali. Fan-freaking-tastic.
Needless to say, there's a ton for MCU fans to be excited about in the near-future, and with Feige also confirming that Phase 4 won't feature an Avengers movie, it seems the franchise will smartly be shaking things up moving forward.
