It's been rumoured for a long time that Ghost Rider might be getting his own Netflix series, and while that doesn't seem to be happening, something arguably much more interesting is on the way: he's going to appear in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It won't be Johnny Blaze joining the show but a more contemporary, Mexican-American iteration by the name of Roberto "Robbie" Reyes, who drives a car rather than a motorcycle and will be played by True Detective's Gabriel Luna.

It's exciting news and naturally far less risky than attempting to force a standalone Ghost Rider series on audiences, but if people like this iteration, it's certainly not out of the question for the future.
