Creed 2 Trailer Reaction: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

1. The Obligatory, Ridiculous Training Montage

It wouldn't be a Rocky movie without an outrageously silly training sequence, would it? Well, Creed 2 sure isn't gonna leave fans wanting, as the trailer shows Adonis tethered to the bottom of a swimming pool, where he's forced to box against the waves.

And why the hell not? There's a charm to the eccentric training regimens the boxers in these movies put themselves through, and though it hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of matching Rocky IV's beautifully demented training montage, it still looks like it's taking a page out of the same book.

As "gritty" as Creed was, if these movies can't be at least a little bit silly, what's the point?
