Similarly, few will likely find themselves complaining about the film's eye-popping couture on offer, courtesy of legendary, Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan.

Seeing Cruella interrupt Baroness von Hellman's various galas and parties in her increasingly ostentatious get-ups helps fend off the otherwise repetitive nature of these scenes.

True to the film's punk-rock sensibilities, there's a scuzzy, off-the-wall feel to the costume design, which not only makes it a guaranteed Best Costume Design nominee at next year's Oscars - it could help it stand out enough to win the award outright.

Costumes are an uncommonly important part of the movie's aesthetic, and here Beavan absolutely knocked it out of the park. Gorgeous isn't even the word.
