Daddy's Home 2 Review: 3 Ups & 6 Downs

Downs...

6. Not Enough John Cena

Daddy S Home 2 John Cena

The first movie ended on an hilarious sequel tease, with Dusty's (Mark Wahlberg) stepdaughter's biological father showing up, played by John freaking Cena.

It was a fun twist that placed Dusty in the same position Brad (Will Ferrell) had been in throughout the movie, and amusingly left the door open for an unlikely sequel people might actually want to watch.

Unfortunately, though, Cena's role is pretty small in Daddy's Home 2, not showing up until the third act and honestly not getting to do much fun or interesting.

Given that Cena's shown himself to be a terrific comic talent in recent movies, it's a shame his skills were totally squandered with a largely forgettable appearance here.
