Danny Boyle's Films Ranked From Worst To Best

Though it struggles to live up to the brilliance of the iconic original, T2 is nevertheless an affectionate follow-up that avoids relying too much on nostalgia, and even makes the perils of constantly looking back one of its key themes.

Ewan McGregor and co. effortlessly slip back into their unforgettable roles, and though the film suffers from a share of contrivances in order to get the gang back together, once the set-up is done, this is utterly compulsive viewing.

Boyle's style is irresistible to behold in a worthy sequel that takes the characters to places both new and familiar while riffing on the nature of both existence and the world around us as a whole.

Not a classic sequel for the ages, but it certainly does justice to the characters and their fans all the same.
