Deadline reports that the probable 2010 Best Director Oscar nominee is in early talks to re-write
2 Guns, a two lead action/comedy vehicle that he hopes to one day direct at Universal, with
Vince Vaughn attached. The movie is an adaptation of
Stephen Grant's graphic novel about two corrupt lawmen; one a DEA agent and an undercover naval intelligence officer who are put on the case to investigate each other.
Owen Wilson had been interested in the film, marking something of a Wedding Crashes reunion... but it looks like he has lost interest.
Blake Masters (Brotherhood, Rubicon) wrote an early draft of the screenplay. Project sounds cool to us, anyone read the graphic novel? O'Russell's next movie is expected to be
