Heroic Hollywood broke the news that Zack Snyder's Justice League would see the light of day, and followed that up with some big claims about what's happening (or not) with the Man of Steel sequel. They claim that Warner Bros. isn't convinced people want another Superman movie right now, hence why Henry Cavill is in talks to reprise the role in a series of cameo/supporting roles.

They note that it's possible things could change if Cavill's future Superman appearances are well-received, though add that the recent deal between J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot production company and WarnerMedia (which will see Abrams take charge of a number of DC Comics properties, including HBO Max's Justice League Dark) could also be to blame as he has expressed interest in the character.

"If your plan is to attract an A-list filmmaker like J.J. Abrams to direct a property like Superman, they're going to demand to cast who they want in the title role," the site adds, seemingly confirming that, for now, this iconic DC Comic character's big screen future is very much up in the air.
