This is bordering on being ludicrous, but according to Beyond The Trailer, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is in early talks to reprise the role of Green Lantern in the DC Extended Universe. In the years which have followed since the 2011 movie was released, the actor hasn't shied away from poking fun at his time spent playing Hal Jordan, so could he really be talked into coming back?

Well, in the past, it's been said that he may be negotiating a role in Zack Snyder's Justice League as the Green Lantern who comes to Earth to warn the heroes of Darkseid's incoming attack. However, the site believes the plan is for The Flash to revisit a number of past DC Comics movies when he runs through time, and it's that which will lead to him meeting Reynolds' Green Lantern.

Whether the plan is for his Green Lantern to become a permanent part of the DCEU is hard to say, though it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to reboot the character with Reynolds in the role (especially now he's one of the most bankable actors working in Hollywood thanks to Deadpool).
