9. Suicide Squad (2016)

Suicide Squad is a bold choice by DC and Warner Brothers, as it will be the first villain-centric comic book movie ever made (not counting the anti-hero brood of Punisher and Spawn). It will follow a bunch of criminal supervillains as the government employ them to perform missions that nobody else would - because, as their collective name would suggest, the missions will likely result in their deaths (and they'll have micro-bombs detonated inside them if they try to escape) - in exchange for clemency. Their mission will probably be to put a stop to Lex Luthor's superhuman trafficking - in this case, his dealings with the Enchantress - with Will Smith's Deadshot seemingly leading the team of misfits in their quest. The Joker will be involved heavily, but is probably going to be restricted to the Belle Reve prison complex due to being considered too dangerous to directly participate. He will keep the unstable and unpredictable Harley Quinn in check, mock the weird appearances of the likes of Killer Croc and give the kind of left field advice and views that only his warped mind could conceive - and he will undoubtedly escape by the end of the movie, in order to appear in a Batman solo movie in the coming years and become a big player in the DCEU franchise.
