4. Potentially Cheesy Attributes Could Be Cool If Adapted Well
On paper, some of the things from the Thor comics really shouldn't work in live action. The Rainbow Bridge and Loki's horned helmet are two examples of things that might work well on the page, but could have been
terrible in a movie if not adapted properly. Luckily, Marvel decided not to shy away from those things and instead adapt them honestly, without irony, and tried to update them as well as they could. The same goes for Hawkman. He's constantly the butt of jokes from those who aren't familiar with his comics. The helmet, wings, costume, and even mace could all look like cosplay gone wrong, but if DC is careful about how they bring them to life, they could end up looking incredible on screen. The character unfortunately didn't transfer too well to the screen when he guest-starred on Smallville, but a blockbuster budget could easily solved that. Give some special CGI attention to the wings, give Hawkman some incredible aerial fight sequences, and he has the chance to be one of the most visually unique comic book characters on screen.
