3. Hammer? Please. How About A Mace And Wings?
You can't make a Thor film without his trusty hammer, Mjolnir. It's not just a weapon, but a source for much of his power and even gives him the ability of flight. Without it, he's just a very strong god. Sound familiar? Without his wings and trusty mace, Hawkman is just a man. He has slightly enhanced physical strength and hawk-like senses, but is only allowed to fly thanks to Nth Metal imbued in his wings, belt, and boots. He controls the Nth metal mentally, and uses the wings to control his flight. His mace makes him a deadly fighter, who chooses to use more archaic weapons because he has more experience using them throughout his many past lives. We've seen that Thor is nearly helpless without his hammer, and taking away Hawkman's wings could easily add some drama to the proceedings if need be. It's always good to show that these heroes have weaknesses, and taking the wings from the Winged Warrior would certainly give the villains the upper hand.
