DC: Ranking Every Upcoming Movie & TV Show By Anticipation

2. Justice League

DC Movies TV Justice League Flash Arrow
Warner Bros.

For Warner Bros. and DC comic book fans, this is the biggie. The way Warners rushed through the universe building and setup, turning the Man of Steel sequel into Batman v Superman, then adding that Dawn of Justice subtitle, was to get to at least this point.

Yes, 'DC's version of the Avengers', which is how it'll be referred to f**k-knows how many times between now and release, it'll bring together Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg, bring Supes back from the dead, and have them teaming-up to take on one big foe - Steppenwolf, one of the New Gods from Apokolips, along with his army of Parademons.

It's got Zack Snyder directing, and his flaws aren't all suddenly going to disappear, but Warners have at least admitted to some of their mistakes, and are trying to change things with Justice League. Based on the Comic-Con trailer and the set reports, there's a noticeable shift in tone, with more levity and less overall grimness.

There's also going to be big stakes, an expanding universe, and the site of these iconic heroes coming together. It's not a guarantee of success (even the Avengers faltered with Age of Ultron), but this is the one Warner Bros. really need to work - and early signs (it's worth remembering this film is still over a year away) are pretty positive.

Release Date: November 17, 2017.
