5. Taron Egerton

If Reddit was 100% correct, the world would be a very different place, but one benefit would clearly be that Taron Egerton would already have been cast as one former Robin. He was heavily rumoured on the boards to be playing Jason Todd/Red Hood in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, perhaps reflecting his slightly rough and ready screen persona built on Kingsman.

Part of his appeal for Jason Todd works just as well for Dick Grayson too: sure, he's a lot edgier than the old Robin (but then so is Nightwing), but he's proved himself capable of hugely charismatic performances across the entire spectrum. And it was on his shoulders that one of 2016's most unlikely cinematic heroes (Eddie The Eagle Edwards) soared.

He's also not afraid of a dust-up having worked with some incredible fight choreography on Kingsman, and that's not to mention the dynamic his Eggsy enjoyed with Colin Firth's Harry Hart. That affectionate ribbing would work extremely well with Batman.
