3. Riz Ahmed

On the back of The Night Of and Rogue One, Riz Ahmed can probably pick his next projects with the luxury only afforded to actors who have years like he just had. He's gone from having a handful of good to great performances (in Four Lions, Nightcrawler and Ill Manors) to being both one of the busiest and one of the most hotly rated actors of the moment.

And that means sooner or later he's going to be tapped to play a comic book movie role. He probably doesn't have the physique or the presence to play one of the cleaner cut big heroes, but Nightwing would be the perfect fit. He's charismatic in a slightly unconventional way, and he'd absolutely be the most inspired dark horse option Warner Bros could go with.

That's provided they can even get anywhere near his agent at the minute.
