5. Suicide Squad 2 Will Replace Harley Quinn With Killer Frost

Though he's not directing, David Ayer has written the story pitch for Suicide Squad 2, and with Harley Quinn off to do her own thing as one of the Gotham City Sirens, there's an opening for a new female lead.

Allegedly, those duties will go to Killer Frost.

Removing Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squad 2 marketing campaign might look suicidal from the outside, but it would be just as unwelcome to see her (and the Joker) dominate another movie. And it's always nice to have ice-powered superheroes on screen: they naturally lend themselves well to stunning effects work.

It'll probably hurt some fans to see her replaced, but it is - begrudgingly - the best way to go. Having her recaptured to join the Squad again after she's just been busted out (and has her own movie in Gotham City Sirens coming) would just be jumping and rejumping the shark. Let someone else have a go.
