4. Matthew Vaughn Will Write Man Of Steel 2 (If He Directs)

The Rumour

If he's hired to direct the Man Of Steel sequel, as is rumoured to be the case, Matthew Vaughn will also write the script.

Response

This is very much a case of looking at the lay of the land and making a pretty safe assumption. Vaughn has written everything he's directed since Layer Cake (though he didn't actually write the upcoming I Am Pilgrim), so it would be completely out of character for him not to pen Man Of Steel 2.

But that doesn't mean it's not good news Vaughn is an excellent story-teller - even if some of his writing is a little more "naughty" than you'd probably expect from a Superman film. But then, maybe when he comes back in his cooler black suit he will be more edgy.
