DCEU: 21 In-Development Movies Ranked From Most To Least Likely

2. Deadshot

Deathstroke Harley Quinn
Warner Bros.

Chances Of It Happening: 1/10

THR was the first outlet to report on a possible Deadshot solo movie, but the fact that they buried their only mention of it deep in an article about Gotham City Sirens tells you all you need to know about how much of a priority this project is for the studio.

Sure, Will Smith is a big star, but this reeks of an overenthusiastic, reactionary decision, a movie that was only discussed after Suicide Squad made a load of cash but was forgotten about when that initial excitement had died down.

The fate of the Deadshot movie was apparently sealed in late 2017, when rumours that it had been dropped by the studio - which stemmed from a tweet about Smith's involvement in the film - began surfacing.

This aside, there's been no word about a writer working on a script, nothing about a director, and Smith's schedule only gets busier and busier. Plus, how would a Deadshot movie fit in the DCEU? It looks like this one ain't happening, but if Suicide Squad 2 crushes it, talks could resume.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
