DCEU: 7 Hints That Batman: Under The Red Hood Movie Is Coming
1. "How Many Stayed That Way?"
Even the most cynical of DCEU fans would probably like to think that every ingle brushstroke so far has been intentional and placed with purpose. Even with all of Zack Snyder's faults, he knows his comic lore and he's very consciously filled his DC movies with references and nods that even hardcore fans would struggle to find straight away.
So, it's highly unlikely that Bruce Wayne's speech in Batman v Superman about the nature of Superman's heroism and his own obligations only accidentally seemed to refer to Jason Todd:
"20 years in Gotham Alfred, we've seen what promises are worth, how many good guys are left? How many stay that way?"
Some might pick that last line out as a reference to Two Face/Harvey Dent, but Warner Bros made it very clear who the speech referred to when they posted a snippet of it to Instagram as part of their marketing campaign for BvS.
Obviously, that quote drops the important end-cap statement, but it still looms there ominously from the void. And most interestingly of all, they chose to post this image and quote on April 27th, the day Jason Todd was killed in the comics. It's like they WANT us to know they're planning on a Red Hood movie.
