Deadpool 2: 102 Easter Eggs, Gags & References Explained
93. Interview With The Vampire
Dopinder reveals that since he got a taste for violence (and heroism to a lesser extent) in the first movie, he's wanted more in his life. He uses the analogy of Kirsten Dunst's character in Interview With The Vampire, Claudia, who tells Tom Cruise's Lestat that she wants more after he initially gives her the taste of blood.
It's an interesting analogy given how Dopinder's story unfolds towards the end.
92. Batman v Superman
Having made it back to his apartment to celebrate his and Vanessa's anniversary
It looks like Wade is always making up bad excuses for being late for Vanessa. One of his excuses is that he was fighting a "caped badass". Fortunately, "his mum was named Martha too".
And then we realise both our mothers are called Martha...
91. Yentl
One of the strangest repeated references throughout the movie is to Barbara Streisand's Yently, including a rendition of famous song "Papa can you hear me?" - which 'Pool actually tries to use as his last words.
So why Yently? Aside from the hilarity of the randomness, Josh Brolin is actually Streisand's step-son. So it's clearly Wade's idea of a fitting tribute.
