Deadpool 2: 25 WTF Moments

4. Deadpool's "Oscar-Worthy" Death Scene

After Deadpool sacrifices himself to save Russell, taking Cable's bullet to the heart while wearing a power-suppressing collar, he takes a good five minutes to finally expire, in one of the most hilariously prolonged death scenes in cinema history.

For starters, he quips, "I hope the Academy's watching", and after appearing to expire for the first time, he shocks the group by declaring, "I got a bit more in me."

Wade says his goodbyes to the group and, again, seems to die, but quickly snaps out of it. He then claims to see a white light, only to realise it's the sun, and shortly after, he finally, FINALLY dies for "real."

Of course, nobody was expecting Deadpool's death to stick, and Cable resurrects him moments later via time travel, which just made the prolonged nature of his "demise" that much more absurd and hilarious.
