3. The Weirdly Moving Acoustic Version Of "Take On Me"

While it's fair to say that the movie's emotional core isn't terribly convincing, you have to give the filmmakers credit for exploiting A-ha's acoustic version of their classic pop hit "Take On Me" for every drop of emotion it's worth.

As Wade is reunited with Vanessa in the afterlife and revived by Cable, the song is so brilliantly effective that it just might make you feel something, even if stakes and emotional investment in a Deadpool movie aren't easy to come by.

The difference between the album version of the song and this unplugged iteration are absolutely night and day, and regardless of the original's stature as a peppy pop tune, this is a genuinely haunting and affecting rendition. Who could've seen that coming?
