Deadpool 2 - 9 Characters And Storylines You Can Expect From The Sequel
7. Providence
When Cable decided to make his own floating island nation out of the debris of his own orbital space station - just roll with it - the nations of the world did not respond with great admiration or respect. That's right, the world that hates and fears mutants did not take too kindly to a mutant having his own powerful space-age country. If Fox wanted to take the interesting geopolitical slants to that story and input them in a Deadpoolsequel, that's up to them, but there's a lot of material ripe for Deadpool's particular brand of brutal quips designed to tear down the self-imposed serious facade of comic book storylines. When Cable first started up Providence, Deadpool somehow got himself caught up in Cable's 'bodyslide' (see also: teleportation) rig meaning that anytime one of them teleported, the other was dragged along with them. Deadpool ended up being a sometimes ally/sometimes d*ck to Cable, and a film where Deadpool basically ruins Cable's utopian dream sounds like an entertaining one to me.
