Though Avengers: Infinity War served up death on an epic, iconic scale that no other superhero movie can dare to match, Deadpool 2 smartly went in a totally different direction, focusing instead on the most grisly, shocking and hilariously over-the-top deaths possible.
Deadpool 2 has one hell of a body count, that's for sure, and though this list won't be counting every disposable goon eliminated by Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Cable (Josh Brolin) and co - as wonderful as that wardrobe decapitation at the orphanage was - there were nevertheless a ton of "significant" character deaths to go around.
While many of them were inevitably reversed by time travel shenanigans - and let's be honest, the same will be true of Infinity War too - that didn't stop a number of fan favourite characters being killed in spectacularly brutal fashion, with even the titular hero himself dying several times throughout the film.
