8. Shatterstar

Cause of Death: Shredded by a helicopter.

Many fans were excited when cult favourite superhero Shatterstar (Lewis Tan) was confirmed to be a member of the X-Force, so they were probably left pretty mad that, like most of his teammates, he doesn't even make it to the ground.

Despite boasting to Deadpool that he's an alien swordsman who can do everything better than he can, he flies right into the path of a stationary helicopter rotor blade, quickly turning him into a green, gooey mess. For extra giggles, what remains of his scalp is then seen sliding down the helicopter windshield.

Hilariously, Deadpool doesn't seem particularly cut up about it, later commenting that "he was kind of a dick anyway." Extra props to the marketing team for suggesting he'd be involved in an on-the-ground fight scene that makes neat use of his samurai swords...only for him to do a whole lotta nothing.
