6. It Will Poke Fun At Recent Superhero Movies
The original Deadpool wasn't afraid to mock everything from Professor Xavier to Ryan Reynolds himself, and the sequel will retain this brand of meta-humour and apply it to the current superhero movie scene.
In an interview with /Film, producer Simon Kinberg stated that "Deadpool 2 will comment on anything that’s happening in movies today especially in superhero movies... the sort of glut or saturation of these movies and the proliferation of sequels is definitely something we’ll play around with.”
Since the first Deadpool was not afraid to make jokes about anything, this doesn't come as a huge surprise, but it does inform us that - perhaps in a similar manner to 22 Jump Street - Deadpool 2 will mock the idea of sequels, with a specific focus on those within the comic-book genre.
