2. It's Rumoured To Set Up X-Force

X-Force is a Marvel Comics superhero team that was originally led by Cable, and has included members like Domino, X-23, Colossus, Wolverine, and even Deadpool himself.

Deadpool 2 was reportedly set to receive a post-credits stinger that would set up an X-Force movie (by revealing the characters Sunspot, Feral and Shatterstar), but this rumour was debunked on Twitter by co-writer Rhett Reese.

However, the X-Force movie does currently have a writer attached in Joe Carnahan, and he reportedly has a co-writer; Ryan Reynolds.

In the past, Reynolds has stated that X-Force is a priority of his, so you can understand how this Deadpool 2/X-Force rumour started. If Reynolds himself wants to get X-Force made, surely Deadpool 2 will set it up in some fashion?

“In the future, if we’re doing a bunch more Deadpool movies, we’re gonna really explore the X-Men a lot. And maybe X-Force. X-Force is my priority. I really want to get that in", said the actor in the above interview (skip to 6:20!).

With Deadpool's popularity being off the charts and franchises being Hollywood's new currency, it wouldn't be surprising to find out that Fox are using the upcoming sequel as a launchpad for another series.
