Deadpool Movie: 5 Reasons To Be Excited

4. Ryan Reynolds Is Signed Up To Play The Role (Again)

Reynolds is apparently very excited about doing this role again - but fear not, it's not going to have any connection to the version of the character we saw in Wolverine, and this is of course, in most people's eyes, a very good thing. It's interesting that when talking about it in previous interviews Reynolds expressed a keen interest in the movie being R-rated, which would mean a good dose of foul language, more gore and in general, more freedom to explore, and as Reynolds has phrased it before those involved can €œtake more risks,€ and €œdo what other superhero movies haven't done before€. Reynolds' enthusiasm for the character alone is already inspiring as he's someone that reads the comics, has done some research and really wants to push for a big-screen adaption. It'll certainly be interesting to see how RR works the disfigured and ever so slightly insane angle. This role will certainly challenge him in new ways and force him to move away from what he's comfortable with - playing the pretty boy who always wins, gets the girl and looks decent while doing it.

Here's hoping that whoever signs on to direct doesn't do a Spawn and load the film with a wicked soundtrack, and a terrifyingly bad plot, eh?
