1. The Totally Unconvincing Sequel Bait

No spoilers here, but of course, Despicable Me 3 is almost certainly not the end of the franchise, with Minions 2 already penciled in for 2020 and Despicable Me 4 likely to follow soon thereafter.

The third film concludes rather abruptly and quite blatantly points towards a potential direction for the next film, though honestly, it's one of the less-interesting routes the series could go, and doesn't exactly leave one massively hyped for another movie. It's sure to happen regardless and there's no guarantee it'll definitely follow this loose plot strand, but still, if this was indeed the final Despicable Me movie, it'd be a decent enough jumping-off point.

As imperfect as the movie is, though, there's still plenty here for fans to like, so here's everything that Despicable Me 3 nails...
