3. William Shatner
This was the one I was looking forward to the most. Again, the hall was packed and Shatner got a standing ovation when he walked on stage. Obviously having done a million conventions before, Shatner went straight to the audience for questions. What followed were stories about Star Trek, hiding Leonard Nimoy's bike on set, living in the back of a truck after Star Trek got canceled and his one man show. Ive already mentioned in another article that Shatner told the audience about an unfortunate accident on the second night he was performing his show on Broadway. Having contracted food poisoning from a burger, Shatner shat himself on stage halfway through his show. Telling the audience that there was a technical problem, he had to run up to his dressing room and have a shower. He said he has never told that story before and the crowd were cracking up. In fact, the crowd was laugh a lot during his talk, he has amazing stage presence and can clearly play the crowd like a master. When trying to remember if Frank Gorshin (Riddler in Batman) was still alive, Shatner talked about his own mortality and that death was something he has to deal with because it's right in front of him. It was sad because he has talked in other interviews about his fear of death. Overall, this was a good talk and you couldn't help but be charmed by him. And anyone who wants to know the Leonard Nimoy bike story, you can see it below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nxcw7ln9AU
