Disney+: 10 Original Movies We Want To See

There’s been much made of the many Marvel shows joining Disney+, and what they could mean for the future of the MCU. Loki, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Winter Soldier, Falcon and Hawkeye are all slated to receive shows, as well as an ingenious What If... show which allows them to tell some non-canon tales freely.

However, tying some of its biggest names to varying to TV shows poses an issue. Are they stepping out of the MCU, as Coulson did to take the reins on Agents Of Shield?

Fans have bought into each movie being connected, but asking them to keep up with several shows with varied release windows on a new platform which could take a while to go worldwide is a big ask.

Disney is business savvy though, and while it wants to exploit the MCU’s popularity, it won’t want to disrupt it. Solo spin off movies for minor but popular characters like Cobie Smulder’s Maria Hill could be the answer.

She’s an entertaining, quietly appreciated character who deserves her chance to shine. Her movie could focus on her climbing SHIELD’s ranks to be Fury’s right-hand woman.

If Disney invests in projects like this they can milk the MCU without disrupting its rhythm.
