Widely panned (wrongly) and horribly let down at the box office (partly thanks to Disney's marketing failures), John Carter is suffering another injustice thanks to being left out of the Disney+ launch line-up.

A product of Disney's pre-Star Wars era franchise plans, the delightful, imaginative sci-fi - which has an army of fans banging drums about it - caused a $200m Disney writedown and maybe they're still a little sore about it?

Frustratingly, John Carter is the kind of movie that would benefit hugely from another life on a streaming platform and it should have been a launch title, if it was possible.
