Disney Plus: 15 Biggest Movies Missing At Launch

8. The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)

Are you really surprised by this?

Look, everyone knows that The Holiday Special is something of a joke in Star Wars circles, but isn't it about time Disney owned this part of the history? Imagine the viewing figures if they put it on just in time for the Holiday season.

It's not like they even made it. Why not just release it onto Disney+ and let everyone have a nice nostalgic laugh at LucasFilm's silliness? It's been so heavily guarded over the years that only one segment has ever been officially released and most Star Wars fans won't have been able to see it. Sadly, that's not changing just yet.

The later two films are more of a shock, as you'd think a full Star Wars quota would have been a big selling point, but you'll have to wait for them for now.
