Honey, I Shrunk The Kids has already proved to be a successful franchise for Disney, with three movies, a TV show, and a theme park attraction under its belt, so it makes sense they'd revisit the well - not that it particularly needs a remake.

The original is still charming and entertaining, largely thanks to Rick Moranis' performance, so it'll be intriguing to see who is brought in for the project.
