Doctor Strange: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

As great as Cumberbatch is in this film, the glory is very nearly stolen away from him by Tilda Swinton and Benedict Wong, who play the Ancient One and sidekick Wong respectively.

Swinton has a meaty role as Strange's Morpheus-like mentor, spouting wise truisms while also proving a total bada** when it comes to combat. Depsite the controversy surrounding Swinton's casting in the role, she absolutely knocks it out of the park.

Wong has a much smaller part here but serves as excellent comic relief through his stern confrontations with Strange, serving as the protector of Kamar-Taj's most valuable information and immediately taking a dislike to him.

He nevertheless gets numerous moments of cathartic humour to help break up the mind-bending mayhem, and is an absolutely rock solid addition to the MCU's pantheon of comedy sidekicks.
