Doctor Strange 2: 10 Multiverse Cameos That Would Break The Internet

1. Hugh Jackman As Wolverine

Who else could it be? Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is right up there with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men, in that he's one of those characters who could send the hype for Multiverse Of Madness through the roof.

This movie can easily open to $100 million, but tease the return of Jackman's Wolverine? Now you're talking $150 million, $180 million, or even $200 million.

Fans have been clamouring for Jackman to return as Wolverine ever since he hung up the claws with 2017's Logan. The Disney-Fox merger added more fuel to that fire, as did a wave of rumours from some not-very-credible sources. Though it pains us to admit it, there's a good chance that it might never happen, but if it is going to happen, then Multiverse Of Madness is as good a place as any.

One of the reasons Jackman is hesitant to return is that he feels like Logan was a perfect ending. We don't disagree, but at the same time, a multiverse cameo would allow him to revisit Wolverine without interfering with Logan's conclusion: he could be plucked from an earlier point in his timeline, de-aged, and bam! He's ready to go.

It does feel somewhat inevitable that we'll see Jackman's Wolverine again one day - even if it's just in a marketing skit, or a Deadpool 3 gag - but given how well Tobey and Andrew's roles in No Way Home were received, giving Jackman a similar level of royal treatment is an opportunity that's too good to pass up.

Even if it is just a five-second cameo, why not recreate his X-Men: First Class "go f**k yourself" scene, but with Doctor Strange and Wong instead of Charles and Erik? The internet would literally melt. Feige, we'll take our cheque now, please!

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
